A use for that whole wheat that’s been sitting in your food storage.
1/2 cup red or white whole wheat
1 egg
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp powdered milk
1 cup water
Maple Syrup (optional)
In a blender grind 1/2 cup whole wheat and a 1/2 cup of water. After it looks pretty pureed add 1/2 cup more water, oil, egg, baking powder, and powdered milk separately as it is still blending.
When it is sufficiently mixed you will hear a gluging sound and the mixture will move more slowly in the blender. Let stand one minute. It will rise a little.
Meanwhile, heat your skillet really hot and prep with olive oil and when it bubbles on the skillet you’re ready to use the batter. Cook as regular pancakes and top with maple syrup. These are suprisingly light and fluffy!
