1 cube margarine
1/2 cup crisco
1 cup water
4 TBS cocoa powder
Boil all together in sauce pan until melted and mixed completely
2 cups sugar
2cups flour
Beat into above cocoa mixture
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Beat into above cocoa mixture after adding dry ingredients
Pour into greased jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides) and bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes
Frost immediately with following frosting
4 to 6 TBS milk
5 TBS cocoa powder
1 cube (1/2 cup) butter
Melt above ingredients in sauce pan stiring often
1 lb powdered sugar (small box)
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup pecans (optional if Scott is visiting)
Beat into melted cocoa mixture until smooth and creamy. Spread on cake while cake is still hot from oven.
